SciCon 2016: counting down to 10 July!

On July 10, the exodus of science teachers from schools and labs around the country will descend upon Sacred Heart College, in the Hutt Valley, for SciCon 2016.

Everything is in readiness for this year's SciCon event, the bienniel conference, seminar, and forum for all Kiwi science educators.

This year, the event is hosted by the by Capital City Science Educators (CCSE), a subcommittee of the NZASE (New Zealand Association of Science Educators).

SciCon 2016 will be an interesting mix of field trips and interactive opportunities. Special events are planned for primary science teachers, and delegates can expect a strong focus on the earth sciences throughout the conference.

Sometimes described as 'New Zealand's science heartland', Hutt City boasts the highest proportion of practising scientists per capita of any New Zealand city.

You can check out the full programme of events, exhibitors, and speakers here

See you at SciCon 2016!
