Dig this idea

A Māori innovation challenge called DigMyIdea is calling for entrants.

flax keteDigMyIdea aims to grow Māori involvement in Aotearoa’s digital economy, inspiring entrepreneurs with great ideas to build digital businesses with export potential.

The challenge calls on entrants to submit a digital business idea that has the potential to go global. Entries can be made individually, or together with a team of up to three people.

Ideas could be anything from an app to a web initiative, or ways to enhance or add digital elements to a more traditional enterprise.

Entrants can submit applications in te reo Māori or English.

There are two entry categories: Māuri oho – youth category (15 years to 18 years); and Māuri tū – open category (19 years and above).

DigMyIdea is now open – entries close on Sunday 18 October 2015.

Find more details on the DigMyIdea website.
