22/02/2018A Fantastic Opportunity for Senior High School Students!
Canterbury University College of Science and the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences, in conjunction with their Mt John Observatory colleagues, are offering senior students throughout New Zealand a unique life experience. The Elaine P. Snowden annual Astronomy School is offering successful applicants a fully funded five day Astronomy Camp, taking place in Christchurch and Tekapo, on the 16 - 20 April.
Ideal candidates will be Year 13 students with a passion for all things astronomical, or exceptional Year 12 students with an Astronomical or Astrophysical career goal.
The camp will take place at Canterbury University's Ilam campus, in Christchurch, and it will also include a visit to the world renowned Mt John Observatory, in Tekapo. All transport and accommodation costs are covered. There are only twenty places available, and the most suitable candidates will be selected from applications received by Monday 5 March.
